About Us Simaye Sabz Rahayi Harm Reduction Institute

Founded in 2006 ( 1385 ), Simaye Sabz Rahayi Harm Reduction Institute is a non-profit, non-governmental organization committed to its humanitarian mission: supporting, treating, and reducing harm among individuals affected by addiction and those living with HIV/AIDS.

Our Mission

By reducing the harms associated with addiction, HIV/AIDS, and high-risk behaviors, Simaye Sabz Rahayi aims to increase hope and improve public health. To achieve this, the institute operates nationwide, focusing on education, cultural development, support, and empowerment.

 

" We believe that living in a healthy environment is a natural right for all. Those affected by social harms must be able to access the services they need—without discrimination."
Drawing on expertise and mobilizing social resources, the institute has launched and implemented the following programs:
– Evening meal distribution and harm reduction services in nighttime drug-use clusters
– Emergency shelter (Shelter)
– Drop-in Center (DIC) for harm reduction services targeting street-involved individuals
– “Aman” Halfway House for homeless women and girls recovering from addiction
– “Marham” Women’s Addiction Recovery Camp (Medium-Term Residential Treatment Center)
– Positive Club – Support services for people living with HIV/AIDS
– Mobile outreach teams
– Entrepreneurship and employment workshops
– “Salamat Yaran” Substance Abuse Treatment Center
– Social Work Base

Commendations

– Received a certificate of appreciation from the Governor’s Office of Eslamshahr County for setting up a booth and participating in the exhibition “United Against the Spread of AIDS”, held for youth, university students, and high school students of Eslamshahr.
