Shelters in Districts 4 and 20 of Tehran

As part of harm reduction efforts for individuals struggling with addiction, the shelters in Districts 4 and 20 of Tehran organized a celebration at the emergency shelters in these areas during the final days of the year 2015 (1394). The goal was to promote healthy social behaviors and reduce high-risk activities associated with addiction. The event aimed to create a positive emotional atmosphere for the clients, reintroduce appropriate social conduct, and celebrate the arrival of the New Year together.

At the end of the celebration, each client received a full set of clothing, including a shirt, pants, shoes, socks, and underwear. Guests were also treated to sweets, fruit, and nuts, and—following the traditional New Year’s Eve custom—were served sabzi polo with fish for dinner. Together, we wished to find Solomon’s ring in the heart of the fish deep in the sea, and to follow the path of humanity and righteousness in the new year.
